Some people have been spreading the following narration:
What follows are a few comments by Shaykh Dr. Abul Hasan Hussain Ahmed in regards to the above narration:
Starting with the more famous reference of Jami' al-'Ulum of Ibn Rajab. It could not be found in any edition. If it was really there, we would have heard of it decades ago as this work is mashhur (well-known).
As for the Hada'iq al-Anwar, let not anyone think it is by the famous Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani - the student of Imam Abu Hanifa, but rather, it is by a later Imam known as Wajih al-Din Abdur Rahman ibn Ali ibn Muhammad who is well known as Ibn al-Dayba al-Shaybani al-Shafi'i. This narration is not present in the reference given above (1/130) in the edition edited by Abdullah Ibrahim al-Ansari.
It also could not be located in the shamela editions of both works. This causes one to seriously doubt if the narration actually exists. Those who spread it should provide us with the original Arabic wording and then more of its reality will become apparent insha Allah.
