The way that I've been accustomed to praying/leading Taraweeh for almost a decade now has been that, if there is a mistake that is minor and does not render the prayer as invalid and it is not corrected immediately, the Imam may/will recite it correctly in the following raka'ah, pause briefly, and then jump back to where he left off and continue the recitation. Someone brought a concern to me the other night that doing this is baseless and it is messing with the Tarteeb of the Qur'an. I recall reading in Behishti Zewar I believe that Maulana writes that it is permissible to do this, though it is mustahabb to read all the ayaat in between instead of jumping ahead (provided it does not take too long I assume).
What is the daleel for this jumping ahead? It is simply permissible based on the fact that there is no reason to prohibit it? The brother mentioned the concern of messing with the Tarteeb of the ayaat (though technically it does not mess with the order, rather it's an issue of skipping many verses ahead). Does his claim have any weight?
