Allamah Ibn Nujaym has recorded the bequest of the great Imam Abu Hanifah to his illustrious student, Imam Abu Yusuf. In his bequest to his student Imam Abu Yusuf, the great Imam Abu Hanifah said: "When you identify evil in a person, do not refer to him with it, but seek the good in him and refer to him with that. [This is] with the exception of matters pertaining to Deen: when you identify such a thing in his Deen, mention that to the people, so that they do not follow him and are wary of him."
