In an authentic Hadith narrated by At-Tabarani, Rasulullah ﷺ states: " No vein palpitates, nor an eye (twitches), except due to a sin, and whatever Allah averts from him is more." (Al-Mu'jam as-Sagheer)
عن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ( ما اختلج عرق ولا عين إلا بذنب وما يدفع الله عنه أكثر

AL-SHIFA BINT ABDULLAH (RADHIYALLAHU ANHA) AND THE MARKET OF MADINAH Contrary to what the feminists today have been propagating quite fervently, the second Khalifah, Umar (radhiyallahu anhu), never appointed the noble Sahabiyyah, al-Shifaa bint Abdullah (radhiyallahu anha), in-charge of the marketplace in Madina. Regarding this baseless allegation which is designed to tarnish, intentionally or otherwise, the impeccable reputation of both these great Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum), the 5th century Maliki authority, Qadi Ibn Arabi, said: وقد روي أن عمر قدَّم امرأة على حسبة السوق، ولم يصح؛ فلا تلتفتوا إليه؛ فإنما هو من دسائس المبتدعة في الأحاديث “It is not authentic so pay no mind to it, as it is one of the conspiratorial machinations of the heretics in hadith.” (Ahkaam ul-Qur’aan) The fact that it is a complete fabrication will become quite clear by the end of this article. The false allegation did find its way into several classical Islamic texts. However, despite the fact that in almost every source no sanad is cited, or in one source an extremely defective sanad (a weak narrator, an unknown narrator, and a break in the chain) is given, modern day versions of those heretics continue to cite this story with great relish almost as if its authenticity has been confirmed by divine revelation (Wahi). We cite below a few examples. Akram Nadwi, in the footnotes to his translation of Ibn Hazm’s dissertation on women attending mosques, after having just dismissed a number of Hadiths with genuine and authentic sanads, and having also committed chicanery in the actual translation, states unashamedly: “And it was Umar who appointed a well-known and learned companion from a noble family, al-Shifa bint Abdillah al-Adawiyyah, as the supervisor of the market of Madinah.” Akram Nadwi’s fraud in the translation and footnotes of this particular book will be the subject of a future article insha-Allah. Yusuf Qardawi, who, like Akram, also has a special penchant for dismissing genuinely authentic Hadiths with real chains of narrations whilst confidently affirming fabricated and chainless narrations in the very same breath, states as a matter of fact in his book, “Malaamih ul-Mujtama’ ul-Muslim”: ملامح المجتمع المسلم الذي ننشده وقد عين عمر بن الخطاب في خلافته الشفاء بنت عبدالله العدوية محتسبة على السوق “Umar ibn al-Khattaab, during his Khilafah, appointed al-Shifaa bint Abdullah al-Adawiyyah as the inspector of the market.” The celebrity story-teller, Omar Suleiman, in the article, “Gender Equity & the Advent of Islam”, co-authored with two others, somehow manages to provide further detail to the actual duties involved in the imaginary and supervisory role fabricated for al-Shifaa bint Abdullah (radhiyallahu anha): Coninued in the link below: reliablefatwas.com/al-shifa-bint-abdullah-radhiyallahu-anha/

THE BID’AH OF AL-TAKFEER Men Placing Hands on the Chest It is authentically related that Sa’eed ibn Jubayr (rahmatullahi alayh), the famous student of the Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum), while doing Tawaaf of the Ka’bah, saw a man praying with his hands on his chest. So abhorrent and unusual was the sight of this abnormal posture that it compelled Sa’eed ibn Jubayr to interrupt his Tawaaf, walk over to the man, smack him, and physically separate his hands, even while the man was in prayer. The Musannaf of Ibn Abi Shaybah narrates the incident with an authentic sanad (chain) as follows: Yahya bin Sa’eed narrates from Ubaydullah ibn al-Ayzaar who said:
“I was performing Tawaaf with Sa’eed ibn Jubayr when he saw a man praying having placed his hand upon the other, this upon this, and this upon this (referring to the left hand upon the chest, and the right hand upon the left). So he went (to him) and separated them. Then he came (back).”Dr. Bashar Awwaad, an expert in editing manuscripts, has clarified in his annotations of Ibn Abdul Barr’s Tamheed where this very same narration is cited, that “عبيد” (Ubayd) is the correct name of the individual narrating this incident. The name “عبد” (with the letter ‘ya’ missing) found in the manuscripts is a typographical error. In the version of this incident narrated by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal to his student, Muhanna, the smacking is mentioned. Imam Ahmad also clarifies exactly why Sa’eed bin Jubayr took such stern measures: Continued in link: THE BID’AH OF PLACING THE HANDS ON THE CHEST

This is an excellent dissertation by Allamah Taqi ud-Deen al-Subki (rahmatullahi alayh) which addresses many of the arguments put forward by deviant sects today:

In the the latter work (p. 19), the late Badiud-Din Sindi stated with no shred of evidence and with bold conviction: “Further Imaam Shaafi’ee’s actual madhaab is to place the hands upon the chest, and after finding an authentic hadeeth, Ahmad Ibn Hanbal started putting his hands upon the chest also. Also Imaam Maalik mentions putting the hands upon the chest as many Hanafee’s have recorded. It is thus clear from the above that the Imaams Maalik, Shaf’iee and Ahmad Ibn Hanbal advocated placing the hands upon the chest.” What a vile lie. What is just as abominable, though not surprising at all, is the fact that many decades on, his Muqallid worshippers have yet to issue a clarification to correct this flagrant falsehood. On the contrary, this fabrication upon the Ummah continues to be propagated, though with a little less vehemence than previously, since the quotes from Imam Ahmad, Ibn Taymiyyah, and Ibn al-Qayyim and others on this issue, surfaced.

THE QUR’AN UNIMPEACHABLE INTRODUCTIONThis treatise is in refutation of the booklet, “Evidence for the Collection of the Qur’aan”, written by one Christian missionary, Mr. John Gilchrist. The booklet of Gilchrist is merely a page from the long Christian history of abortive attempts to assail the integrity and authenticity of the Qur’aan Shareef. But, as all previous Christian writers and other enemies of Islam have failed in the attempt to blacken the glory of the Qur’aan’s glittering authenticity, so too, does Gilchrist follow suit. He has miserably failed in his scheme. Gilchrist tries to compare the bible with the Qur’aan in regard to authenticity. To say the least, this claim is laughable. This is not the occasion to present arguments for the refutation of this fallacy. If Allah wills, a separate treatise shall be prepared to adequately expose the fallacy of the comparison of the bible with the Qur’aan Majeed. Despite his dilatory ramblings directed against the Qur’aan Majeed, Gilchrist is constrained by the I’jaaz and the Divine nature of the Qur’aan Hakeem to droop his head and feebly confess: “ … whereas the Qur’aan may have been remarkably transcribed, even to the point of inerrancy, from the time of Uthman…”“ Remarkably transcribed even to the point of inerrancy” is indeed a remarkable, if not gracious, confession from a man set out to denigrate the authenticity of the Qur’aan Majeed. Gilchrist is not the solitary soul among the non-Muslim critics of the Qur’aan who have conceded the remarkable authenticity of the Qur’aan Shareef. Many other hostile critics have conceded, albeit reluctantly, the high degree of accuracy and authenticity of the glorious Qur’aan. No book can ever hope to compare with the Qur’aan Majeed in authenticity and in “inerrancy” of transcription. No matter how hard the detractors of the Qur’aan blow their trumpets, they cannot achieve their heart’s desire and aim of faulting the authenticity of the Qur’aan. It is for this reason that we find repeated attempts by Christian writers to sully the Qur’aan’s authenticity. But, each time an attempt is made, failure is the result, hence the attempt is renewed by another adversary of the Qur’aan. But, all such attempts are perpetually doomed to failure for the Qur’aan Majeed declares: “They desire to blow out the Noor of Allah with their mouths. But, Allah will complete His Noor even though the *no takfeer*oon detest it.” [Qur’aan] The treatise is in the link below: THE QUR'AN'S VARIANT READINGS

REPENT! AN UNIMAGINABLY HORRENDOUS WORLDWIDE CATASTROPHE IS BREWING Allah, exalted is His praise, works in mysterious and wondrous ways. By means of this virus, amongst the smallest of His creations, and even after considering that, an extremely lame one relative to the genuinely deadly pandemics of the past, He has thoroughly exposed the great multitude of Ulama-e-Soo’ who have been leading the Ummah astray for many a year now. Moreover, via this meek virus, Allah Ta’ala has also demonstrated categorically how weak and impotent mankind will prove to be, for all his supposed technological and scientific prowess, in halting the march of utter destruction in the terrifying wake of a far more powerful and deadlier version of this infinitesimal species which is likely to arrive very soon, considering the fact that in an Earth deserving of unprecedented Wrath, saturated as it is with a hitherto unparalleled quantity of Shirk (polytheism), Kufr (rejection of Allah), godlessness (atheism), secularism, and open immorality, the only ones who are supposed to have upheld His worship in the exact manner in which He has prescribed explicitly, have all conspired together, en masse, to shut down His houses of worship, on a scale never witnessed before in the entire recorded history of mankind. In order to aid in appreciating Allah’s sifaat (attribute) of “ Shadeed ul-Iqaab” (Stern in Punishment) and to provide a small glimpse of the scale of horrors that await this Ummah and the world as as a whole, we produce a brief account of a medium-scale plague that occurred earlier on in this Ummah: “ In Jumāda ‘l-Ākhirah [of the year 449] a letter arrived from Bukhārā from Transoxiana that an unprecedented and unheard of pandemic occurred there such that 18,000 caskets (Janaazahs) came out of this region in a single day! Those that died were counted and they were 1,650,000, up to the writing of this letter. The pandemic spread to Azerbaijan and then to Ahwāz, Baṣrah and Wāsiṭ, and other regions. Large pits were dug and 20 to 30 people would be dumped in them. Those that died close to the river Dajlah, would be dragged by their legs and dumped in it. The weak would excavate the corpses, roast them and devour them (and likewise the dogs would dig out the corpses and devour them).. Every house in which death entered, it would overtake them all. The heart of the diseased person would burst open bringing forth blood which would then dribble out of his mouth, or worms (would issue). One would not know what they were. He would then die.” (Al-Maqrizi) In contrast, the symptoms and severity of this Corona trial pale in comparison. A leading scientist describes the effects of this relatively weak virus on the vast majority as follows: “ Most of those infected won’t even know it…Most people who are infected will recover without even knowing they were sick….Not everyone [who is infected] dies; most of them will get better and won’t even know they were sick, or will have a bit of MUCUS.”The Corona pandemic bears the dimensions and hallmarks of a small taster before the main course, a tiny glimpse of what’s to come, a little tester by which Allah Ta’ala has already thoroughly established Hujjah (proof) of the villainy of a wretched nation (Ummah) before the descent of the Greater Punishment, by having revealed to those of its inhabitants still dwelling in self-deception, how justified the impending catastrophe is. Can there be a greater and more symbolic proof (hujjah) of the evil of a nation than the shutting down of the Houses of Allah on an unprecedented scale, with our own hands and well before the Kuffaar imposed their law of prohibition?….. NEVER in the entire, 1400 year history of this Ummah, throughout its numerous plagues, epidemics, and pandemics, did a single Faqeeh (jurist), nor even a single Munaafiq (a *no takfeer* masquerading as a Muslim) scholar, ever dare to come out and declare the suspension of Jumuah or the daily congregational prayers, as the Ulama-e-Soo’ (evil scholars) have done today, thus laying bare their liberal LGBTQ-like values which hitherto had been camouflaged by deceptively Islamic outer veneers and sound-bites, all in reaction to a so-called pandemic whose fatality rate (1% – 8%) is comparable to the survival rate of some of the real pandemics of the past.... The evil implication that stems directly from the satanic contentions of the proregressive modernists is that Allah Ta’aala is unaware (na’oozubillah) of the realities of His own creation, hence He failed (na’oozubillah!) to provide adequate guidance to His Rasool and to the entire Ummah on how to conduct themselves in the proper manner, in a scenario that Allah Ta’ala has not only enacted on Earth innumerable times since time immemorial, but also during the time of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and his Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum) when ample opportunity existed for the issuance of further guidance. The proregressive modernist charlatans who masquerade as Ulama allege, both explicitly and implicitly, that the entire galaxy of Fuqaha (including the Sahabah) for 1400 years had miserably failed to correctly apply the ruling for extreme weather (e.g. rainstorm), or the principle of “la darar”, or the alleged suspension of Hudood by the Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum), etc. to the scenario of a pandemic, and hence, as a result, they became the terrible cause for the unnecessary deaths of countless people. Allegedly, all of them together, failed in their divinely ordained duty to offer proper guidance on this issue to the masses. This is despite the fact that the entire galaxy of Fuqaha – tens of thousands of the best minds the Ummah had ever produced – had dedicated their entire lives to issuing the proper guidance on every possible scenario based purely on the premise that the Prophetic example which stems from Wahy is perfect. By this, these vile proregressive modernists imply the imperfection of the message Allah Ta’ala delivered to the Ummah through His Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), or worse, they impute a lack of knowledge regarding disease to Allah Ta’ala. How is it possible for the entire Ummah, all without exception, to have been so misguided on a straightforward issue that has been a recurring one encountered by mankind ever since the beginning of creation, without imputing imperfection to the guidance issued to this Ummah by Allah Ta’ala through Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum), both in general terms and as practically exemplified by their attitude displayed in real life as described in the narrations above? This was never an area (ie. Jumuah and other related issues) in which Allah Ta’ala had ordained for there to be some legitimate form of difference in which there was scope for ijtihaad. No one engaged in ijtihaad in this sphere simply because the example and conduct of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum) in the two incidents described above and also in the plague at Amwaas was so glaringly unambiguous and obvious. Hence, there never existed any dissenting opinion on this issue despite the extreme severity of the innumerable epidemics to have hit this Ummah. The Fuqaha have said that searching for the lone and anomalous opinions of the scholars is an act that expels one from the fold of Islam. Rejecting the broad agreement of the Fuqaha on any matter, in favour of a solitary and errant ruling issued by even a genuine Faqeeh (jurist), is tantamount to rejecting Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). However, on the subject of pandemics there does not exist even an anomalous and errant ruling that could hint even vaguely at the variety of satanic measures instituted by the Ulama-e-Soo’ today. Thus the extent of the villainy and evil perpetrated by these modernists can never be overstated. While detailed guidance is found in Allah’s Shariah on the exact circumstances an individual is permitted to miss congregational prayers, the Shariah’s guidance in the scenario of a pandemic matches in exactitude the attitude displayed by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Sahabah (radhiyallahu anhum) in the narrations above. No special measures other than increasing one’s ibaadah (worship) were adopted during an epidemic or a plague. Hence this has been precisely the attitude adopted by the entire Ummah, from its very inception....

Here is a translation of a Fatwa from Allamah Ibn Lubb (rahmatullahi alayh), one of the leading scholars of Andalus (Spain) during the 8th Century AH, much of which bears a great deal of relevance to the current pandemic with which Allah is testing (and exposing) the Ummah. A few brief biographical sketches of the Allamah are given after the translation: “ He (Allamah Ibn Lubb) was asked regarding those upon whom had befallen a pandemic and they fled from some of what was obligatory upon them from the rights of their brothers due to what they had witnessed with their own eyes of the rapid spread of the pandemic amongst the majority (of the population). Do they have any leeway or not in this situation (to have abandoned their duty towards others and ultimately towards Allah Ta’ala)? They had witnessed in some places the perishing of all (i.e. the entire population).”He (rahimahullah) answered: reliablefatwas.com/2020/03/29/the-pandemic-of-the-year-449-hijri/
